PACCAR Parts Celebrates Grand Opening of its Louisville Parts Distribution Center

RENTON, Wash., January 12, 2023 – PACCAR Parts celebrated the grand opening of its 260,000-square-foot parts distribution center (PDC) in Louisville, KY on January 12, 2023. The new facility increases parts availability for dealers and customers in the central, mid-Atlantic and southeastern regions of the U.S.

The grand opening featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and presentations by Kentucky Governor, Andy Beshear, Benjamin Moore, director of the Department of Economic Development at Louisville Forward, and PACCAR leadership. PACCAR dealers, customers, vendors and suppliers toured the facility and learned about the state-of-the-art technology used to manage inventory and efficiently distribute parts. An interactive 3-D model of the new distribution center gave attendees an exclusive look at how PACCAR Parts uses PDC technology across its global distribution network.

The new distribution center officially opened its doors in Louisville on September 9, 2022 and serves 97 dealerships throughout the region. RENTON, Wash., September 9, 2022 – PACCAR Parts’ new state-of-the-art parts distribution center (PDC) in Louisville, Kentucky, is now fully operational. The 260,000-square-foot facility increases parts availability for dealers and customers in the central, mid-Atlantic and southeastern regions of the U.S. and utilizes advanced technologies and innovation to increase operational efficiency. A two-day agenda provided training, discussion and networking opportunities among Kenworth dealers, PACCAR Parts, Kenworth Truck Company and PACCAR suppliers.

The meeting began with an awards ceremony recognizing dealer achievements and performance. Award criteria was based on maximizing UPTIME, retail sales growth, parts purchase growth, absorption, PACCAR MX Engine technician staffing, participation in customer support programs and efforts to maximize customer UPTIME.
